Leviticus 15:32 NLT
”These are the instructions for dealing with anyone who has a bodily discharge—a man who is unclean because of an emission of semen“
‭‭
No law has total effect
Today’s scripture reiterates that all the instructions given earlier were meant for a specific situation. Since the Lord explicitly spelled out the instruction, why was there a need to stress the use? Or better still, what was the purpose of this emphasis? By emphasizing the specific context for which the instructions were intended, God ensured they would not be misunderstood or misapplied in other situations. Friends, the only way to avoid failure is by following the instructions as intended.

On another note, the Lord stated that the instructions cater to a specific situation, which means they were not to be applied in all cases. What that means is that no law is all-encompassing. God wanted Moses and Aaron, and by extension, the people of Israel, to realize the inadequacy of the instruction, as it could not address all kinds of inadequacies.

However, through Jesus, we are complete because He is the atonement for all kinds of inadequacies. The blood of Jesus fits the saying ‘one size fits all.’ In other words, Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross is sufficient for our inadequacies, no matter how diverse they are. This is a comforting thought for Christians, as it reassures us of God’s love and forgiveness, regardless of our shortcomings.

Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, no instruction under the old covenant provides coverage against all inadequacies, but the new covenant purchased by Jesus’s blood does. Please help me not to take Jesus’ grace for granted. In Jesus’s name, I pray. Amen.
