Leviticus 15:21 NLT
”If any of you touch her bed, you must wash your clothes and bathe yourself in water, and you will remain unclean until evening.“

If any of you
One thing about the Lord is that He is a respecter of no one. If He were, the instruction given in today’s referenced scripture would have exempted Moses and Aaron, but the Lord did not do so. This means that we should consider God’s instructions as relevant to us as well. The Lord’s instruction indicated that even if Moses or Aaron were found wanting, the consequence would still play out. On another note, the word “if,” which qualifies the instruction, suggests that the Lord did not expect this behaviour to become the norm.

It is important to note that the Lord’s ceremonial instructions were given out of love. The Lord wanted the children of Israel to reach the promised land safely and enjoy its blessings. However, God knew that if viruses festered in the camp due to a lack of personal hygiene, His plan for the children of Israel would be compromised. Therefore, the Lord provided these instructions to ensure the safety and well-being of the children of Israel. Similarly, the law of Christ is meant to keep you and ensure that you fully partake of God’s riches in Christ Jesus. We should strive to follow His instructions to ensure that we, too, can enjoy His blessings in store for us.

Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, I pray I will not be negligent in my actions. I pray that I will take to heart all Your commands. Amen, in Jesus’s name.
