”Any clothing or leather with semen on it must be washed in water, and it will remain unclean until evening.“
In my best interest
The scripture above provides instructions that are clear and concise. However, it is essential to examine each instruction carefully to avoid any misunderstanding or misinterpretation.
It is important to note that the instruction was not to blame anyone but to prevent any endeavour that could stifle God’s blessing of multiplication and fruitfulness. In essence, God wants us to take care of ourselves and others to continue to enjoy His blessings.
One of the instructions that may seem uncomfortable to some is the requirement that any clothing stained with semen must be washed. However, this instruction is crucial in preventing the spread of some sexually transmitted diseases. Semen can harbour bacteria and viruses that may cause infections like public lice, scabies, and molluscum contagiosum if left on the fabric.
Therefore, it is vital to understand that whenever God asks us to do anything, it is in our best interest. His plan for our lives is always good, and He wants us to live healthy, fulfilling lives. Therefore, following His instructions and trusting them for our benefit is crucial.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I pray that I will always appreciate Your commands and know that following them is in my best interest. Amen, in Jesus’s name.
