Leviticus 15:15 NLT
”The priest will offer one bird for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering. Through this process, the priest will purify the man before the Lord for his discharge.“
‭‭
Can God count on me?
As I was finalizing yesterday’s exposition, I was struck by a thought that led me to ponder why the Lord entrusted priests, who are themselves males, with overseeing the purification exercise of any man healed from bodily discharge. This is a curious phenomenon; there must be more to it than meets the eye. This was a subtle reminder to the priests that they could not be found wanting in their duties. After all, if they failed, who would restore the rest of the people to God? Friends, you cannot afford to fail in your calling.

As Christians, we are all priests according to the order of Christ, and it is essential to keep our relationship with God strong and healthy. However, if our relationship with God is weak or strained, we won’t be able to provide the guidance and support that others need.

In conclusion, this passage teaches us that God trusts the priesthood. Just like the male priests in the Old Testament, we must be vigilant about our spiritual well-being to fulfill our duties and responsibilities as Christians. Let us strive to strengthen our relationship with God so that we may be a beacon of light to those around us.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, I pray that I will not disappoint You. I pray that You will help me to be mindful of my endeavours so that I will not become the one who must be purified. Amen, in Jesus’s name.
