Leviticus 15:11 NLT
”If the man touches you without first rinsing his hands, you must wash your clothes and bathe yourself in water, and you will remain unclean until evening.“
Rinse with water
The love of God is beyond comparison, and He consistently demonstrates it through His actions. Today’s referenced scripture perfectly embodies it. It is instructive to note that the Lord does not forbid any person declared ceremonially unclean from expressing affection to others, meaning the Lord does not forbid human relationships.
However, the Lord stated that such a person must rinse their hands with water before touching others. It is vital to note that rinsing hands with water was not a complex task that any man who is ceremonially unclean would find challenging to do if he cherishes relationships.
When a man rinses his hands with water, it is symbolic. The act of rinsing hands with water is not only a physical cleansing but also a spiritual one, representing the purification of our souls. It shows his readiness to restore and reconcile with others. The word of God is the ultimate cleanser that purifies our spirits (John 17:17; Ephesians 5:26).
The word of God restores relationships because it can bring healing and reconciliation. Therefore, let us ensure that we incorporate the word of God in our relationships, and we will experience lasting love and friendship.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I pray that I will allow Your word to moderate my relationships with others at all times. Amen, in Jesus’s name.
