The scripture referenced today offers valuable insights for living, specifically in the second sentence. The sentence begins with “if,” indicating that the condition may or may not happen. If the mildew has not spread on the house’s walls, the priest must stop any further actions. However, if the mildew has spread, the Lord instructed that the priest order an exercise, which means the removal of the stones in the affected areas.
One might wonder why the priest couldn’t just order the demolition of the entire structure since the mildew had spread. However, taking baby steps is to ensure due diligence is carried out. By taking baby steps, the homeowner can be confident in the eventual decision. It is essential to explore all possibilities before concluding any issue; that is the lesson we learn from this scripture. By taking measured steps, we can avoid making hasty decisions that we may regret later. Evaluating all possible outcomes will help us make informed decisions that we can confidently stand by.
