Leviticus 14:34 NLT
”When you arrive in Canaan, the land I am giving you as your own possession, I may contaminate some of the houses in your land with mildew.“
‭‭
God at work
Facing adverse shocks is something that nobody ever desires, but they are an integral part of life. Sometimes, we are able to avoid them with God’s help, while other times, they are beyond our control and happen regardless. However, our reaction to these situations is what matters the most. In the final part of the referenced scripture, God informed Moses and Aaron that some properties in Canaan might be affected by mildew. This was a warning that no one should be blamed for such occurrences, as they are only attributed to God. The I AM WHO I AM was trying to convey that we must never give credit to anyone or anything else but God alone. Moreover, the inhabitants of the affected dwellings should not be held responsible for such events.

It is essential to be cautious about assigning blame when we face adverse situations in our lives. We must understand that it could be God’s way of working in our lives and teaching us valuable lessons. Instead of blaming others or ourselves, we should trust Him and seek His guidance. In this way, we can learn to accept and overcome the challenges that come our way and grow stronger through them.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, You cannot be questioned. Yet I pray that You will provide a better “house” than the ones mildew attacked. Please let none of us be physically and spiritually homeless. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
