Leviticus 14:21 NLT
”But anyone who is too poor and cannot afford these offerings may bring one male lamb for a guilt offering, to be lifted up as a special offering for purification. The person must also bring two quarts of choice flour moistened with olive oil for the grain offering and a cup of olive oil.“

Truth in the inward part
Today’s referenced scripture carries several vital messages that can help us navigate life’s challenges. One of the most significant messages is that challenges can affect anyone, irrespective of their wealth or status. This is a reminder that no one is immune to life’s difficulties. However, God is aware of every situation, and nothing surprises Him. He is always proactive, and even before the situation arises, He has already given instructions that cover people from different economic circumstances.

This highlights another important lesson: God is for everyone. His provisions are not limited to the wealthy alone, but they also extend to the poor. This means we can trust Him to provide for our needs, regardless of our circumstances. We do not have to worry or be anxious about our lives because God is in control.

Furthermore, the scripture teaches us to serve God regardless of our situations. It is common for people to think that they have to be in a certain position to serve God effectively. However, this is a misconception. God does not discriminate based on our status or wealth. He desires honesty in our hearts and a willingness to serve Him.

It is noteworthy that God did not suggest that anyone who is too poor should use a different method. Instead, He asserted that a different method was necessary if they could not afford the usual process. God left it for everyone to decide if they were too poor and could not afford the purification items. It was not the priest’s place to determine who was truly poor and could not afford the purification items. With the instruction, God asserted that He desires truth in the inward part.

Therefore, as we go through life’s challenges, let us remember that God is with us. He knows our situation and is working everything out for our good. Let us trust Him and serve Him with all our hearts, regardless of our circumstances.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, You desire truth in the inward part. Please help me to exhibit it for Your glory in everything I do. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
