Leviticus 14:1 NLT
”And the Lord said to Moses,“
And the Lord said
The frequency and intensity of conversations between two individuals can indicate the level of their relationship. It is important to note that in today’s referenced Scripture, Moses was always interested in hearing from God. In return, God never deprived him of that desire, which indicates that if anyone comes closer to God, the King of Glory will reciprocate (James 4:8). This raises the question, do you share that interest in hearing from God? Has your desire to hear from Him decreased over time?
Another insight centres on why God spoke to Moses. It was not based on cherry-picking ideology but because He found something special in him. This is a profound lesson for us all. It teaches us the importance of humility and holiness in our lives. These traits allow God to come closer to us and equip us with the ability to hear from Him. We must remember that God does not use and then discard people. Even though He chose Aaron to serve as the priest and his sons to support him, God did not stop talking to Moses. Instead, He gave him all the instructions Aaron needed to carry out his duties. This teaches us the value of our relationships and how God cherishes them.
Moses was not threatened by God’s choice to appoint Aaron and his sons as priests. Instead, he was content with the role God had given him. This is a beautiful lesson for us all. Instead of pursuing titles and positions, let’s focus on building and maintaining our relationship with the King of Kings. This should be our ultimate goal in life.
