Leviticus 13:47-49 NLT
”Now suppose mildew contaminates some woolen or linen clothing, woolen or linen fabric, the hide of an animal, or anything made of leather. If the contaminated area in the clothing, the animal hide, the fabric, or the leather article has turned greenish or reddish, it is contaminated with mildew and must be shown to the priest.“

God cares for everything
There is a common misconception that God only cares about the significant issues in our lives and doesn’t have time for minor concerns. This belief often leads people to only bring some of their worries and concerns to Him. However, today’s referenced Scripture reveals a different aspect of God.

In the above-cited scripture, God showed interest in the clothing worn by the people of Israel. He instructed them to show the priest their woollen or linen clothing, woollen or linen fabric, the hide of an animal, or anything made of leather if it had turned reddish or greenish. This was a way for God to ensure that the Israelites maintained ceremonial cleanliness, which was necessary for their subsistence.

Note that it was the responsibility of the Israelites to show their garments to the priest, and God didn’t ask the priest to hound them about it. While having an article of clothing with reddish or greenish elements may be uncomfortable, it was not the end of the world. The Lord didn’t say the person with contaminated cloth should be condemned or stigmatized. God does not make anyone feel bad for the undoing of another person.

The more profound message within this Scripture is that ceremonial cleanliness was not restricted to living things. The Lord desired ceremonial cleanliness in all things, including non-living things, that we have in our possessions. This shows that God cares about every aspect of our lives, both big and small. We should not be afraid to bring all our concerns and worries to Him, for He wants to be involved in every area of our lives.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, I bring to You everything in my life that does not seem right. Please help me address them. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
