Leviticus 13:32-33 NLT
”On the seventh day the priest must examine the sore again. If he finds that the scabby sore has not spread, and there is no yellow hair on it, and it appears to be only skin-deep, the person must shave off all hair except the hair on the affected area. Then the priest must quarantine the person for another seven days.“
You can’t be tired
To be a priest of the Most High does not mean showing off. Instead, it means providing service with a sincere heart. The priest must not abandon anyone who is under quarantine.
In today’s referenced Scripture, the Lord instructs that the priest must re-examine the affected area after seven days. However, if there is no clear evidence to give a verdict, the Lord instructs that something must be done. The person with the sore must shave off all hair except in the affected area.
With this instruction, the Lord teaches two important lessons. First, the priest must exercise boundaries. Second, the affected person must show responsibility. As followers of Christ, we must maintain boundaries in how we relate to our neighbours and other brethren and always show responsibility.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, please help me operate within the parameters You have given me and always assume my responsibilities at all times. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
