Leviticus 13:21 NLT
”But if the priest finds no white hair on the affected area and the problem appears to be no more than skin-deep and has faded, the priest must quarantine the person for seven days.“
‭‭
But if the priest…
In today’s referenced Scripture, we can see that God gave the authority to the priest to declare anyone affected by skin disease ceremonially clean or unclean. Even though Moses was present when the Lord gave the instructions, he never performed the duty because he was not asked to do so. This reminds us to respect the boundaries God sets and not overstep them. Just because we can perform a divine assignment does not mean we should do it without being authorized to do so.

Another important lesson to learn from this is that God gave the priest specific instructions to follow when making decisions regarding skin diseases. This means that the priest had to follow a rubric to decide whether someone was clean or unclean, and they could not decide on their hunches. This shows us that we must not rely on our understanding or make decisions based on impulse but instead follow the guidance of Scripture and seek God’s direction for every situation.

Therefore, we must ask ourselves – how well do we follow the rubric that God has given us? Do we allow the Scripture to guide and moderate our actions? We must seek God’s wisdom and follow His instructions in every area of our lives so that we can live a life that is pleasing to Him.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, please reveal to me what I must do in every life situation. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
