Leviticus 12:6 NLT
“When the time of purification is completed for either a son or a daughter, the woman must bring a one-year-old lamb for a burnt offering and a young pigeon or turtledove for a purification offering. She must bring her offerings to the priest at the entrance of the Tabernacle.”

Are you aware of what Christ did?
The laws regarding purification after childbirth are precise and leave no room for interpretation. Once a woman has given birth, she must observe a waiting period before she can touch anything Holy or enter the sanctuary. This waiting period is seven days for a male child and fourteen days for a female child.

After the waiting period is over, the woman must bring a one-year-old lamb for a burnt offering and a young pigeon or turtledove for a purification offering. These offerings are specified in Leviticus 12 verse 6 and are crucial to the purification process. The burnt offering symbolizes the woman’s dedication to God, while the purification offering symbolizes the woman’s repentance and desire to be cleansed.

It is essential to note that merely observing the required number of days is not enough to complete the purification process. The woman must bring the offerings to the priest at the sanctuary’s entrance, who will then make the offerings to God on the woman’s behalf. This ensures that the purification is complete and that the woman is considered clean by the laws of God.

Therefore, anyone who wishes to follow the law must be willing to follow every instruction to the letter. Paul emphasized this in Galatians 3, stating that failure to observe and obey all the instructions, including those for purification after childbirth, could result in God’s wrath. In verse 14 of Galatians 3, Paul said, “So it is clear that no one can be made right with God by trying to keep the law.”

Prayer
Dear God, please help me to understand that through faith in the death, resurrection, and ascension of Christ Jesus, I am made right with You and have eternal life. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
