Just as the Lord has commanded
The journey of following Christ requires a steadfast adherence to His teachings. It is only those who wholeheartedly accept and obey the Lord’s commands that are considered true disciples. In contrast, those who selectively choose which commands to follow cannot be said to be genuinely following Christ. Today’s scripture reference shows Moses conversed with Aaron and his descendants, basing his words and actions on divine instructions rather than personal opinions or feelings. Moses recognized the importance of not being swayed by the prevailing beliefs or norms of the time but instead prioritized what the Lord had commanded. We must establish our relationship with God on His commandments, allowing them to guide our actions and decisions. By doing so, we will avoid engaging in actions driven by selfish motives, popularity, or fame, instead adhering to the Lord’s commands in all our endeavours. Committing to following His teachings and commandments allows you to lead a life that is pleasing to Him, and you will be counted among His faithful servants.
Prayer
Dear God, please help me to do everything just as You have commanded. I pray I will not shy away from telling everyone about the Good News about Christ. Amen.
