Leviticus 10:10 NLT
“You must distinguish between what is sacred and what is common, between what is ceremonially unclean and what is clean.”
‭‭
You have what it takes
As individuals who have faith in God, we understand He has an intimate knowledge of our capabilities and will not burden us with tasks beyond our capacity. This is perfectly illustrated in the story of Adam, who was responsible for naming all the animals because God knew that he could accomplish it. Similarly, in today’s scripture, Aaron was charged with distinguishing between what is considered sacred and what is ordinary, as well as what is ceremonially clean and unclean. This instruction implies that Aaron possessed the necessary skills and acumen to carry out the task successfully. However, if at any point he felt overwhelmed or inadequate, he could always rely on God’s guidance and support to assist him.

As believers, we have the Spirit of Christ within us, which enables us to differentiate between what is clean and unclean and avoid impurity. This is a source of comfort and encouragement, especially for those who may feel inadequate or overwhelmed by the tasks they are faced with. With the assurance of God’s providence, we can confidently approach any task, regardless of our level of knowledge or experience, knowing that we have divine support to lean on. This is a testament to the faithfulness and goodness of God, who continually empowers us to carry out His will.

Prayer
Dear God, please help me to use the knowledge given me not only to individuate between the good and the bad but to consistently commit to doing good. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
