“Then the Lord said to Aaron,”
Then the Lord said
Did you know that the Lord spoke to Aaron twice in the scripture? The first of these instances is found in the scripture we reference today. Prior to this, Aaron had only received communication from the Lord through his brother Moses. It is noteworthy to mention, however, that these conversations between the Lord and Aaron did not take place by chance. It was a direct result of Aaron’s actions. It begs the question, what did Aaron do to receive this honour? The first instance occurred because Aaron obeyed Moses’s directive on how to mourn Nadab and Abihu and stayed at the entrance of the Tabernacle at Moses’s instruction, even when it was uncomfortable to do so; consequently, there was a shift in how God chose to communicate with Aaron. Friends, if you wish to hear the voice of the Lord, then it is imperative that you obey His commands.
