Leviticus 10:7 NLT
“But you must not leave the entrance of the Tabernacle, or you will die, for you have been anointed with the Lord’s anointing oil.” So they did as Moses commanded.”
‭‭
The Lord’s anointing
It is widely acknowledged that actions and consequences go hand in hand. However, we tend not to comprehend our actions’ extent and impact fully. So, it is essential to carefully consider each action before taking it. This is because the repercussions may not solely affect the person who initiated the action, as exemplified by the story of Nadab and Abihu in the scriptures. In this story, Aaron, his two surviving sons, and all of Israel faced the Lord’s wrath due to the actions of Nadab and Abihu.
Additionally, Aaron and his sons, Eleazar and Ithamar, were only permitted to move within the entrance of the Tabernacle, as the Lord had anointed them and were thus subject to further consequences. Therefore, it is crucial for those called by the Lord not to take their anointing lightly and to always act per God’s will. In this dispensation of grace, we do not have a Moses; however, we have the Holy Spirit, who knows everything; therefore, we must always adhere to His guidance. By doing so, we can avoid negative consequences and live a life that honours and pleases God.

Prayer
Dear God, please help me always to follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
