Leviticus 9:22 NLT
“After that, Aaron raised his hands toward the people and blessed them. Then, after presenting the sin offering, the burnt offering, and the peace offering, he stepped down from the altar.”

Be selfless
As devout followers of Christ, we must remain selfless in our ministry and interactions with others. Our duties for His kingdom require us to put the needs of others before our own. In today’s scripture, we learn how Aaron blessed the people by raising his hands towards them.

It is noteworthy that Aaron did not bless himself, his sons, or Moses before blessing the people. This exemplifies his selflessness and dedication to serving the Lord and His people. Even when he may have been tired, Aaron raised his hands to bless the people, showing his unwavering commitment to his duties.

Furthermore, Aaron blessed everyone, regardless of their past actions towards him or his family. This highlights the importance of having a heart full of blessings, as our words come from what is in our hearts. As followers of Christ, we are called to emulate this behaviour and bless others, regardless of any wrongdoings they may have committed toward us. It is crucial to remember that we are not called to curse others but rather to show love and kindness in all circumstances.

Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, please guide me to recognize and eliminate all selfishness within me with the help of the Holy Spirit. I offer this prayer in the name of Jesus. Amen.
