Leviticus 9:13 NLT
“Then they handed him each piece of the burnt offering, including the head, and he burned them on the altar.”
All the way
In today’s referenced scripture, we read that Aaron diligently burned the pieces of the burnt offering given to him. Perhaps most notable about Aaron’s actions is how he arrived at this course of action. Rather than simply acting on his whims, Aaron paid close attention to the example set by Moses and sought to emulate his behaviour. Just as Aaron looked to Moses for guidance, we, too, must look at Jesus through the scripture to guide our actions.
In the referenced scripture, we see that Aaron’s sons were a tremendous source of support as he carried out his duties at the altar. They were there for him every step of the way, providing encouragement and assistance whenever needed. Friends, how well do we support others in their endeavours ? Do we offer the same level of unwavering support that Aaron’s sons provided for their father? Or do we allow our distractions and concerns to take precedence over the needs of those around us?
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, please help me not to shy away from providing every support within my reach to assist in Your kingdom regardless of who is involved. I ask in Jesus’s name, Amen.
