Leviticus 9:7 NLT
“Then Moses said to Aaron, “Come to the altar and sacrifice your sin offering and your burnt offering to purify yourself and the people. Then present the offerings of the people to purify them, making them right with the Lord, just as he has commanded.””
‭‭
Come to the altar
Leadership is often associated with giving orders, but Aaron was an exception to this norm. He willingly followed Moses’ orders, not out of weakness, but because he recognized the strength of Moses’ relationship with God. For Aaron, taking orders from someone with a profound connection to the Almighty God was crucial. Friends, do you accept the leading of the Holy Spirit?

Aaron’s humility and obedience were evident in his approach to the altar, which he did not do until Moses gave him specific instructions to do so. This altar was where burnt offerings were made, and it was necessary to purify Aaron, his sons, and the entire community of Israel. In the absence of purification, the desired outcome would been impossible.

As followers of Christ, we are blessed. The reason is that Jesus, the Son of God, shed His blood for our salvation. As such, we no longer require animal blood for purification. Through Jesus’s blood, we are purified and have access to eternal life. It is essential to recognize the significance of His sacrifice and to accept His grace. May we all strive to be like Aaron, obedient and humble, and follow the path of righteousness that leads to eternal life.

Prayer
Dear God, I humbly approach Golgotha, the site where Jesus was crucified, and gratefully accept the completed work of salvation that He accomplished for me. I will always cherish and honour this precious gift and never take it for granted. I offer this prayer in the name of Jesus. Amen.
