Leviticus 9:6 NLT
“And Moses said, “This is what the Lord has commanded you to do so that the glory of the Lord may appear to you.””
The glory of the Lord
Understanding the nature of our relationship with God is crucial, as it is not based on our social status or position in society. Regardless of where we stand, God desires to have a personal connection with each and every one of us. This is exemplified in the story of Moses, who was not a high priest but still received divine communication. He was entrusted with these messages and faithfully ensured their delivery to their intended recipients.
As stated in scripture, Moses explained that the Lord had given specific instructions to be followed by Aaron for God’s glory to manifest. Once Aaron followed these instructions, the desired outcome was achieved. This shows that God desires to reveal His magnificence to us, but it requires us to fulfill what is required of us, which is to have faith in His Son, Jesus Christ.
In the New Testament, the way to witness God’s glory has changed from what it was in the Old Testament. Unlike before, where seeing God’s glory was contingent upon specific activities, all that is necessary now is faith in Jesus as the Son of God. This is demonstrated in John 11, where Jesus informed Martha that if she had faith, she would see the glory of God. Therefore, we must have faith in God’s plan and trust that by following His instructions, we will witness His magnificence.
Prayer
Dear God, I humbly ask to be able to witness Your glory. I pray for unwavering faith in Jesus at all times. I offer this prayer in the name of Jesus. Amen.
