“He put all these in the hands of Aaron and his sons, and he lifted these gifts as a special offering to the Lord.”
In the hands of Aaron and his sons
In today’s scripture, Moses played a crucial role in two significant events that were related to the previous verse. It is interesting to note that Moses didn’t have to stress about picking any items because those responsible for making them did an excellent job. It is noteworthy that Moses did this for Aaron and his sons’ benefit, not his own. As followers of Christ, we must prioritize others over ourselves, as Christ Himself taught us. Moses was selfless. Friends, are you selfless? On another note, if Moses hadn’t given them the best, the scripture would have recorded it as such. Therefore, let us note that our actions today will be remembered tomorrow, and whether they would be viewed as good or bad depends on our present actions. The second event was that Moses offered the gifts in Aaron and his sons’ hands as a special offering to the Lord. Even though the gifts were physically in their possession, they only became a special offering through Moses’ presentation. Similarly, without Jesus presenting the gifts in our hands, we cannot receive blessings from God. Through Him, the whole world receives blessings from our Heavenly Father.
Prayer
Dear God, I am grateful for sending Jesus to pave the way for salvation. As always, I offer my thanks through Him and ask that You accept it. I pray in Jesus’s name. Amen.
