“Then Moses presented the bull for the sin offering. Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the bull’s head,”
Know your calling
As followers of Christ, it is of utmost importance for us to comprehend and adhere to our divine calling. Although we may be assigned different tasks to achieve this mission, we must always keep our focus on the ultimate goal, which is the spread of the gospel of Christ and His kingdom to all corners of the earth. Unfortunately, the desire for recognition and praise has caused many to lose sight of their true purpose, becoming preoccupied with minor issues and neglecting the weightier matters. However, this was not the case with Moses, who was steadfast in his understanding of his role and responsibilities. He recognized that Aaron and his sons had distinct duties to fulfill, while he was solely responsible for presenting the bull for the sin offering. As God did not ask for Moses to participate in the laying of hands on the offering, he refrained from doing so. As faithful believers, we must resist the temptation to deviate from God’s instructions, no matter how seemingly insignificant the matter may be.
Prayer
Dear God, I pray that You will guide me always to follow Your instructions and never be tempted to do anything that goes against them. I ask this in Jesus’s name. Amen.
