Leviticus 7:30 NLT
“Present it to the Lord with your own hands as a special gift to the Lord. Bring the fat of the animal, together with the breast, and lift up the breast as a special offering to the Lord.”
With your own hands
Success in any task requires careful attention to instructions and dedicated effort. When making peace offerings to the Lord, the offeror must take an active role in the process to ensure its true success. The scriptures teach us that the offeror must personally present a special gift to the Lord, without any distractions, and offer only the breast portion of the animal, demonstrating their complete surrender to the will of God.
However, with the completion of Jesus’ salvation work, peace offerings are no longer necessary. Instead, our worship should focus on maintaining a sincere and truthful spirit rather than relying solely on physical gestures. It’s important to understand these teachings and approach our spiritual practices with genuine devotion and understanding. By doing so, we can deepen our connection with the divine and lead a more fulfilling life.
Prayer
Dear God, I pray for your help in enabling me to worship you in Spirit and Truth always, without any hindrances. I ask this in Jesus’s name. Amen.
