Leviticus 7:7 NLT
“The same instructions apply to both the guilt offering and the sin offering. Both belong to the priest who uses them to purify someone, making that person right with the Lord.”
Right with the Lord
Attaining reconciliation with the Lord is a crucial aspect of one’s spiritual journey. According to the law, seeking guidance from an authorized priest was necessary for this purpose. However, this was not a journey that could be embarked on alone. It required the selflessness and purity of the priest to help purify the offeror through administering guilt and sin offerings. By doing so, the priest paved the way for a closer relationship with the Lord. Thanks to Jesus’s crucifixion, death, resurrection, and ascension, we have all become royal priests. This means that it is our responsibility to assist anyone who desires to establish a close relationship with the Lord. We must approach this task with the same selflessness and purity that the priests under the law did. We must strive to remain connected with Christ to impart His grace and wisdom to those seeking guidance.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I ask that You help me so that selflessness and purity remain my watchword. In Jesus’s name, amen.
