Leviticus 6:3 NLT
“or you find lost property and lie about it, or you lie while swearing to tell the truth, or you commit any other such sin.”

No white lies
When any property goes missing, the owner never feels good. However, whenever the lost is found, one can only imagine the happiness a property owner will exuberate. Did you know that it is often the non-owners that find missing properties? While keeping it is an option for the non-owner, God declares such an option a no-no. No one must enrich themselves lost properties of their neighbours. Additionally, the Lord commanded that embellishment must be avoided when serving as a witness. In other words, God instructed them to call a spade a spade. In a nutshell, don’t lie because whoever lies is not of God. Let’s be faithful neighbours, friends, and church members. Treat each other’s property respectfully, and don’t tarnish others’ characters to advance your own course. Even if you don’t care about others mistreating you, don’t mistreat others.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, please me to eschew lies and anything that facilitate it. In Jesus’s name. Amen
