Leviticus 5:2* NLT
“Or suppose you unknowingly touch something that is ceremonially unclean, such as the carcass of an unclean animal. When you realize what you have done, you must admit your defilement and your guilt. This is true whether it is a wild animal, a domestic animal, or an animal that scurries along the ground.”

No statute of limitations
Our God is neither exacting nor going with a sledgehammer to pounce on anyone at the slightest mistake. If HIS behaviour were the opposite, all would have been consumed by now. But In HIS infinite mercy, everyone is given the grace of many chances to repent. And even if it takes years, God will wait. In today’s referenced scripture, God asserted that when the offender realized they must admit wrongdoing. Time does not diminish the consequence of any sin. In other words, no statute of limitations is accorded to sinful behaviour. Also, today’s referenced scripture reveals that upon realizing one’s mistake, the next is to admit it. As simple as it is, admitting to wrongdoing is very difficult. Instead of accepting, we often try to explain it away, especially if notable or many people are doing the same thing. If we truly belong to God, the admittance of wrongdoing must not be the end; we must do more than it. We must turn over a new leaf.

Prayer
Dear Father, please open my eyes to see my errors and turn away from them. In Jesus’s name. Amen.
