Leviticus 4:31 NLT
“Then he must remove all the goat’s fat, just as he does with the fat of the peace offering. He will burn the fat on the altar, and it will be a pleasing aroma to the Lord. Through this process, the priest will purify the people, making them right with the Lord, and they will be forgiven.”
Offering God the best
Did you know that there is no specific location of fat in an animal? In other words, fat is found everywhere in an animal. So when God required the priest to remove all goat’s fat, He was not referring to only the subcutaneous and intraperitoneal parts. It meant the priest would thoroughly check all the nooks and crannies of the sacrificed animal. Otherwise, some of the fat might be missed. Friends, everyone led by the Spirit of Christ belongs to the royal priesthood and is a citizen of the holy nation. If priests under the law would diligently perform the task of removing fat from all parts of the sacrificed animal, you and I can not but offer our best to the Lord at all times.
