Leviticus 4:27 NLT
“If any of the common people sin by violating one of the Lord’s commands, but they don’t realize it, they are still guilty.”
Still guilty
There is a misconception about God’s kingdom. Some people believe that there are children of God and that there are also children of God. Or better still, some people get an easy pass to God while others don’t. Today’s referenced scripture buttresses that God treats everyone the same. Whether one is a priest, an elder, or a commoner, God does not use different scales or rubrics to determine sinfulness or atonement procedures. In Romans 3:23-24, the scripture says, “for all have sinned,” and if all have sinned, then all deserve atonement. But if God were to be a man, atonement would have been for a selected few, and the sins of others would have gravitated beyond redemption. However, God is not a man, which is why He treats all ignorantly committed diffraction as the same. Like the cases of the high priest and elder, any ignorant violation of the Lord’s command also makes a commoner guilty. Friends, let’s emulate God and desist from showing favouritism.
Prayer
Thank You, Lord, for Your gift of love. In Jesus’s name, amen.
