Leviticus 4:15 NLT
“The elders of the community must then lay their hands on the bull’s head and slaughter it before the Lord.”
‭‭
Take responsibility
If there is anything that humans like to avoid, it is taking responsibility for an error or wrongdoing. We don’t like to accept ours, not to mention take responsibility for other people’s mistakes. However, God doesn’t want such an attitude among HIS children; hence the scripture says we should bear one another’s burdens. In today’s referenced scripture, God instructed that the elders stand in the gap for the entire community that committed accidental sin. Responsibility-wise, God required them to lay their hands on the young bull and slaughter it before Him. Regardless of the animal’s weight, slaughtering cannot occur anywhere except for the Lord’s presence. Without a shadow of a doubt, the elders wouldn’t be able to perform as expected unless they dwell in unity. You and I are elders, and for us to usher people into God’s presence, we cannot treat harmony with levity hands.

Prayer
God of all creation, please open my inner heart to identify my errors and take full responsibility and make amendments, in Jesus’s name. Amen.
