Leviticus 4:5 NLT
“The high priest will then take some of the bull’s blood into the Tabernacle,”
Jesus is my high priest
The high priest wasn’t an ordinary priest. He supervised other priests, meaning those under him could carry out some activities on his with or without him asking. Nonetheless, God knowing such could happen, was emphatic about the atonement process. No one except the high priest must take the bull’s blood into the Tabernacle. The sin made the high priest unworthy, but the bull’s blood purified him (Hebrews 9:22). Unlike the high priest, Jesus didn’t sin, yet the Only Begotten Son approached the Father not with the bull’s blood but His blood to restore us to God. Friends, our sins and trespasses make us unworthy before the Holy God, but only the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sins (1 John 1:7).
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I appreciate the finished work of salvation that Christ purchased with His blood. I will forever love and cherish the greater love, in Jesus’s name, amen.
