Leviticus 3:5 NLT
“and Aaron’s sons will burn them on top of the burnt offering on the wood burning on the altar. It is a special gift, a pleasing aroma to the Lord.”
Aaron’s sons
God never gives instructions that are difficult to perform. Whenever we fail to accede to His instructions, there is one person to be blamed -us! Or better, our ego. In today’s referenced scripture, God affirmed that Aaron’s sons, whether young or old, must attend to the instructions just as He wanted them done. God stated that the peace offering must be burnt, and the burning must always occur on top of the burnt offering on the wood burning on the altar. Friends, we cannot but thank Jesus Christ because, for someone like me, these instructions may easily be miscued and consequently facilitate God’s wrath. However, the birth, death, resurrection, and ascension of our Lord and Saviour paved the way for us. He is our peace offering, and we don’t have to worry about making mistakes while performing the peace offering.
Prayer
Lord of all creation, thank You for the gift of life in the Only Begotten Son that redeems and saves us from all sacrificial troubles. In Jesus’s name, amen.
