Leviticus 2:14 NLT
“If you present a grain offering to the Lord from the first portion of your harvest, bring fresh grain that is coarsely ground and roasted on a fire.”

If you bring an offering
God isn’t demanding, and He will never be! In the book of Malachi, He frowned at the notion of Him being hard to serve (Malachi 1:13). And the truth is, if He were demanding, today’s referenced scripture would have begun with “when.” However, it started with “if,” suggesting that grain offerings from the first fruit weren’t mandatory—otherwise, the word “when” would not have been used. Nevertheless, if anyone chooses to do it, God requires it to be according to His own specifications. The specifications are that the offeror brings grain that is not only fresh but coarsely ground and roasted on the fire. Anything short of it was unacceptable. The lesson here is that we must do God’s will, and we must likewise honour Him in every aspect.

Prayer
Lord of all creations, may Your name be honoured in my life every day. In Jesus’s name, amen.
