Leviticus 1:13 NLT
“But the internal organs and the legs must first be washed with water. Then the priest will burn the entire sacrifice on the altar as a burnt offering. It is a special gift, a pleasing aroma to the Lord.”
‭‭
A pleasing aroma to God
Like the burnt offering conducted with a bullock, God asserted that using a goat or a sheep for a burnt offering yielded the same result. It is essential to note that anyone that chose a goat or a sheep did not need more than one at a time. In other words, God did not look for equality in the size of the offering but consistency in the quality. An offeror that gave a bullock did not get preferential treatment over those that gave a goat or a sheep. Likewise, offerors that gave a goat or a sheep for a burnt offering were not excluded from any of the procedures. Lastly, all aromas smell good, but not all are pleasing to the Lord. Therefore, we need to engage in endeavours that bring not just an aroma but one that pleases God.

Prayer
King of glory, please let my life be a pleasing aroma to You. In Jesus’s name, amen.
