Exodus 40:26 NLT
“He also placed the gold incense altar in the Tabernacle, in the Holy Place in front of the inner curtain.”
Jesus did it all!
An exciting thing about Moses’s disposition to his assignment was that the scripture didn’t say he stopped at any point or postponed carrying out any of them. It was the same that the exercise began when he carried out all the tasks. He didn’t take a break or become tired because completing the divine assignments was important to him. Like everything in the Tabernacle, the altar of incense was figurative. It symbolized the prayers of God’s people, and since the altar was always burnt with incense, you and I must never cease to pray. However, did you know that it is dangerous to have an altar of incense without an altar of burnt offerings? The reason is that it is only the fire from the altar of burnt offerings that the altar of incense burns (Leviticus 16:12). However, since the death, resurrection, and ascension of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ have abolished the need for the altar of burnt offering, then, there is no need for any altar!
Prayer
Everlasting King, please me never to cease praying to You. In Jesus’s name. Amen.
