Exodus 40:1-2 NLT
“Set up the Tabernacle on the first day of the new year.”
On the first day of the new year
No doubt, the artisans did a fantastic job but also stayed within the purview of the instructions given to them. They were instructed to make and not to assemble, and despite that assembling the items wouldn’t have been wrong in the eyes of men, these artisans still did not cross the line. Sometimes some activities are worthy of execution, but if God does not authorize them, there is no point in engaging in them. According to today’s referenced scripture, no one other than Moses had the right to assemble the Tabernacle. Another notable thing is the day the assembly occurred. It was the first day of the new year. Imagine working on the new year. In the West, affected workers would get double pay, yet some might still pass on the offer. Moses didn’t object to the instructions or shift the assembling date. Moses did it because he loved God. Friend, do you love God?
Prayer
Merciful Father, please help me not to overstep my boundaries in Your sight, and may my love for You continue to wax stronger. In Jesus’s name. Amen.
