Exodus 39:29 NLT
“The sashes were made of finely woven linen and embroidered with blue, purple, and scarlet thread, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.”
Blue, purple, and scarlet thread
The new living translation reveals that there was more than one sash that the artisans made, thus suggesting that both Aaron and his sons had sashes associated with their garments. Furthermore, each sash was made of blue, purple, and scarlet threads, and which means Aaron’s sash was not different from his sons’. If the priests in the old testament had no element of differentiation among themselves, how much does our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, expect all of us not to have a differentiating factor? We are all priests of the Most High God Friend; we are equal before God. It was the same blood of Jesus Christ that atoned for our sins. Therefore, let’s see one another as brothers and sisters and tear down every man-made instituted barrier.
Prayer
My Father and my God, please help me to appreciate that the coming of Jesus broke all barriers and may I never institute any barrier. In Jesus’s name, amen.
