Exodus 39:4 NLT
“The ephod consisted of two pieces, front and back, joined at the shoulders with two shoulder-pieces.”
Two pieces
Without mincing words, many people find it difficult to work for God. It isn’t because God is demanding but because His ways often negate human understanding. The fact that God utilized a method or an approach for an endeavour does not mean such becomes the norm for any other task. Consequently, anyone who desires to work with Him must be shapeable. That is, such people must be willing to do things according to God’s direction and not what they are used to or think is the norm. In making the gold lampstand, God requested that everything be made as a one-piece, but concerning the making of the ephod, God demanded that it be two pieces. Furthermore, God stated the point at which the two pieces must be joined. Guess what? Bezalel conformed to the account of the instructions. Friends, God expects you and me to conform to His instructions at all times.
Prayer
My Father and my God, please give me the grace to continually conform to Your instructions. In Jesus’s name, amen.
