Numbers 3:3 NLT
“These sons of Aaron were anointed and ordained to minister as priests.”
‭‭
Anointed and ordained
In today’s referenced scripture, we encounter a deeply moving narrative that emphasizes the sacred calling of the sons of Aaron and the divine mandate given to them through Moses. Chosen and consecrated by the Lord, these men were entrusted with the distinguished role of priests—a vocation filled with both reverence and immense responsibility.

It is essential to recognize that anointing and ordination, although closely related, are distinct experiences. Not everyone who is anointed is automatically ordained; each serves its own purpose within the spiritual hierarchy. Likewise, being ordained does not necessarily mean that one has the anointing necessary to operate effectively in their designated office.

For the sons of Aaron, the Lord both anointed and ordained them to minister before Him as priests. However, it is essential to recognize that this bestowal did not equip them with a blanket set of capabilities; instead, it defined a specific purpose within the intricate framework of their priestly duties. Friends, if the Lord has anointed and ordained you, it is crucial to operate humbly within the parameters of your office.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, I humbly come before You, acknowledging that without Your divine anointing and sacred ordination, I am incapable of fulfilling any task that serves Your purpose. I earnestly seek Your empowerment, so that I may carry out my duties with grace and wisdom. Please fill me with Your strength and guidance, enabling me to glorify Your name through my actions and words. May Your spirit lead me as I strive to serve others in alignment with Your will. In Jesus’s name, I pray, Amen.
