Leviticus 26:6 NLT
“I will give you peace in the land, and you will be able to sleep with no cause for fear. I will rid the land of wild animals and keep your enemies out of your land.”

Jehovah Shalom
When the Lord declares that He will take action, He is unwavering in His word. To the nation of Israel, He made it clear that true peace does not stem from mimicking the customs or behaviours of neighbouring nations but rather from following His decrees and obeying His commands. The Lord assures them that their commitment to His will is directly linked to His willingness to bestow His peace upon them. This divine peace is not merely a fleeting feeling but abundant and transcendent, a gift that no selfish human effort can summon.

Therefore, the lesson is profound: God’s peace is a divine promise waiting to be realized through obedience. It is worth noting that the I AM WHO I AM extends His peace to those who diligently seek Him. Friends, if you yearn for this divine peace, remember that approaching Jesus involves more than mere verbal acknowledgment; it requires a heartfelt commitment to align with His teachings and guidance. This unwavering dedication to walk in His ways opens the door to experiencing the fullness of His peace in our lives.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for the promise of peace. Please help me stay steadfast in my commitment to Your teachings and guidance, resisting temptations that may lead me astray. Teach me to love not only because of the gifts and grace You bestow upon me but for the essence of who You are—Your unwavering faithfulness, boundless compassion, and infinite wisdom. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
