Leviticus 25:42 NLT
“The people of Israel are my servants, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt, so they must never be sold as slaves.”
‭‭
Free indeed
There are many times in our lives when the challenges we face can feel overwhelming, and if we’re not careful, these trials can lead to a distorted view of ourselves, often contrary to how God sees us. Take, for example, the ancient Egyptians, who viewed the Israelites merely as slaves—a label that the Israelites themselves began to accept.

In their desperation, they longed for the comforts of their past in Egypt, reminiscing about the simple pleasures of cucumbers and onions despite the harsh realities of their bondage. Yet, in stark contrast, God had a different view of them. He referred to the Israelites as His chosen people, saying they were all His servants, a nation of priests meant to reflect His glory and purpose.

Dear friend, take heart in knowing that despite the relentless struggles and setbacks that life may hurl your way, God’s perspective of you remains steadfast and unwavering. His declaration that you are no longer in slavery is unchangeable; you have been set free by His grace and love. You are a cherished member of His family, and nothing can alter that truth. You belong to God, and that truth stands firm!

Prayer
Heavenly Father, I am profoundly grateful that Your word holds ultimate authority in my life. You have redeemed me from the shackles of slavery, and I refuse to return to those bonds under any circumstance. In Jesus’s name, I pray. Amen.
