Leviticus 25:31 NLT
“But a house in a village—a settlement without fortified walls—will be treated like property in the countryside. Such a house may be bought back at any time, and it must be returned to the original owner in the Year of Jubilee.”

Do you trust God?
Do you truly trust God? I mean, do you have faith in Him even when there is no proof to validate His promises? Do you trust Him despite experiencing radio silence, where there seems to be no movement at all? Today’s scripture highlights the importance of placing our trust in God wholeheartedly and without reservation. You might reread the relevant scripture and wonder how it relates to trust. Stay with me!

Consider when God instructed the Israelites about the significance of the Jubilee, particularly concerning walled and non-walled houses. At that time, they had not yet entered the Promised Land or seen its abundance. This land was described as flourishing and overflowing with potential—an inheritance promised to them by God. Despite lacking tangible evidence or visual confirmation of the existence of these houses, the Israelites chose to believe in God’s word. Their faith was not contingent upon proof; it was rooted in their trust and obedience to God’s promises.

Now, reflect on your own life. Do you need physical evidence to affirm God’s promises for you? Regarding the non-walled houses mentioned in scripture, God emphasized that these structures were to be regarded as valuable property, redeemable during the Jubilee year—a time of restoration and freedom. This illustrates a vital truth: it is ultimately God who determines how all matters should be handled within His creation.

The overarching lesson here is that placing our trust in God is not just an act of faith; it is a crucial aspect of our spiritual journey. When He speaks, His word carries authority, and we are called to believe it with unwavering conviction. It’s time to shift your mindset: the adage “seeing is believing” can often lead to doubt and uncertainty. Instead, embrace the truth that believing is the pathway to enhancing your spiritual vision and understanding. As we trust in God, we sharpen our ability to perceive His plans and purposes for our lives more clearly.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, as I navigate through the challenges of life, I ask for your guidance in letting go of my doubts and uncertainties. Please help me to cultivate a steadfast trust in You. Strengthen my faith so that I can rely on Your divine plan, even when I may not understand it fully. Help me to see beyond my worries and embrace a spirit of confidence in Your promises, knowing that You are always by my side. In Jesus’s name, I pray. Amen.
