Leviticus 24:5 NLT
“You must bake twelve flat loaves of bread from choice flour, using four quarts of flour for each loaf.”
‭‭
Whose job was it to bake?
In contrast to the previous assignment concerning the extraction of pure oil from olives and the careful maintenance of the lamp during the night—a task for which God specified the names of those responsible—the Lord’s instruction regarding the latest task was intentionally devoid of any designated individual. This absence of a named person raises an important question: when faced with tasks that require attention but lack an assigned name, do you choose to overlook them, or do you take it upon yourself to fulfill these duties?

Additionally, it is noteworthy that the Lord demanded only the highest quality flour to prepare the twelve flat loaves of bread, underscoring an insight for living. This requirement highlights the idea that nothing escapes God’s notice. He intimately understands what constitutes quality and what falls short of His standards. The emphasis on quality serves as a reminder that, in all our endeavours, we should strive for excellence, recognizing that our efforts are ultimately seen and evaluated by God.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, I humbly ask for Your guidance and strength as I strive to follow Your instructions with complete dedication. Help me to embrace Your word fully and carry out Your teachings without hesitation or compromise. In Jesus’s name, I pray, Amen.
