Leviticus 24:3 NLT
“This is the lampstand that stands in the Tabernacle, in front of the inner curtain that shields the Ark of the Covenant. Aaron must keep the lamps burning in the Lord’s presence all night. This is a permanent law for you, and it must be observed from generation to generation.”

Transparency in communication
Undoubtedly, the Tabernacle had one lampstand, and the people of Israel were aware. So why did the Lord inform Moses to reiterate that the oil of pressed olives was for the only lampstand in the Tabernacle? The Lord wanted them to know that the ask, though it may seem too much when collectively gathered, wasn’t for any other lampstand except the one in the Tabernacle. Emphasizing that the pure oil of pressed olives is for the lampstand in the Tabernacle clarifies any ambiguities. In the scripture referenced, Moses emphasized that the pure oil extracted from pressed olives was intended solely for divine purposes, not for personal consumption or individual gain.

My friend, reminding the community about the intended use of shared resources or offerings is entirely appropriate. Much like Moses, it is essential to communicate openly and transparently about these matters, ensuring no room for ambiguity or misinformation. By fostering a culture of open communication about community issues, we can effectively eliminate the risks associated with hearsay and gossip, which can lead to division and mistrust. Clear communication strengthens community bonds and reinforces our commitment to shared values and objectives.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, I ask that You help me convey Your instructions clearly and precisely so that there is no room for misunderstanding or misinterpretation. May my intentions be rooted in truth and love, reflecting Your light to those around me. In Jesus’s name, I pray. Amen.
