In my best interest
The concepts of “major” and “minor” are familiar to those pursuing higher education in Nigeria. It is emphasized that one must prioritize major tasks over minor ones in order to graduate successfully. Adhering to this principle has proven beneficial, while those who disregarded it faced undesirable outcomes.
Similarly, life is more fulfilling when we follow God’s guidance. In the scripture referenced today, the Lord reminded the people of Israel about the significance of observing the Sabbath for rest. This instruction emphasizes the perpetual nature of observing the Sabbath and its importance for maintaining strength for other endeavours. When the Sabbath is neglected, it is not God who suffers but those who miss out on the rejuvenation and vitality it provides for productive activities.
Prayer
Dear God, please help me always know that following Your Instructions is in my best interest. So, help me, Lord Jesus. Amen.
