“You must obey all my regulations and be careful to obey my decrees, for I am the Lord your God.”

Nothing left behind
During the journey through the wilderness to the promised land, the people of Israel received vital instructions from the Lord. These instructions were not intended to make their lives bitter but better. The key to this betterment lay in their willingness to uphold all divine instructions without exception. The Lord emphasized that all the people of Israel, as well as Moses and Aaron, must heed all divine regulations and meticulously follow all divine decrees. While regulations are contingent on circumstances and subject to change, the Lord’s decrees are unwavering, timeless, and not influenced by the passage of time.

Lastly, the I AM WHO I AM made it clear that He was not a casual friend whose regulations and decrees could be doubted and challenged. Instead, He is their Lord and God, the One who was, who is, and who is to come. Friends, our view of God impacts how we react to His regulations and decrees. Friend, as long as I AM WHO I AM is the Lord my God, doing His will will not be difficult.

Prayer
Dear God, I seek your help to fully embrace the teachings of your Son in my daily life. I pray this in Jesus’s name. Amen.
