Offerings of purification
The scripture we referred to emphasizes the importance of purification offerings during the Day of Atonement, which were only carried out once a year. This suggests that it was unlikely for anyone to miss the opportunity to take part in the offerings, and the annual nature of the event implies that the effectiveness of these offerings was limited by time. It indicates that the offerings needed to be renewed because their potency decreased over time. In comparison, the finished work of Christ Jesus on the cross at Calvary has always retained its power and authority since it came into effect over 2000 years ago.

Furthermore, the referenced scripture states that human effort was required in the purification offerings; however, purification only takes place in the presence of the Lord. This means that no one enters God’s presence and remains unchanged. One thing is clear: before the purification offerings, everyone was without proper standing, but their story changed once the offerings were made. Did you know that God specializes in changing people’s records? But to experience it, you must come to Him. Amazing change awaits anyone who comes into God’s presence under grace.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for purifying me through the ultimate sacrifice of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Please help me to cherish it always. In Jesus’s name, I pray. Amen.
