Numbers 3:38 NLT
“The area in front of the Tabernacle, in the east toward the sunrise, was reserved for the tents of Moses and of Aaron and his sons, who had the final responsibility for the sanctuary on behalf of the people of Israel. Anyone other than a priest or Levite who went too near the sanctuary was to be put to death.”

Stay on your lane!
Although Moses’s tent was positioned on the eastern side of the Tabernacle, he didn’t have the authority to serve as a priest in the sanctuary. This distinction carries profound significance; God had not anointed him for that role, and throughout his journey, Moses never claimed the title of priest or embraced the responsibilities that accompanied such a position. This behaviour should prompt you and me to examine our own lives more critically.

We must ask ourselves: Are we truly aligning our lives with the divine calling that God has placed upon us, or are we, perhaps unknowingly, misrepresenting our true identities in His eyes? We need to take a step back and reflect on whether our actions, choices, and overall sense of self resonate with God’s authentic intentions for our lives. Are we living in alignment with His purpose, or have we slipped into paths that divert us from it?

Prayer
Heavenly Father, I earnestly pray that my approach to worship will always be rooted in sincerity and truth, never influenced by assumptions or fleeting emotions or traditions of men. May my expressions of reverence be guided solely by Your Word and the principles You have established, rather than by what merely seems appropriate or acceptable in the eyes of the world. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
