Numbers 3:38 NLT
“The area in front of the Tabernacle, in the east toward the sunrise, was reserved for the tents of Moses and of Aaron and his sons, who had the final responsibility for the sanctuary on behalf of the people of Israel. Anyone other than a priest or Levite who went too near the sanctuary was to be put to death.”

Dignity and honour
Every scripture is imbued with profound, life-changing messages that can be fully comprehended and embraced only through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. For instance, in the referenced scripture, we see that God designated the area in front of the Tabernacle, in the east, toward the sunrise, for Moses and Aaron. This intentional choice to orient their dwelling towards the dawn symbolizes the hope, renewal, and new beginnings that God intended for them and their legacy.

Like other areas, the expansive nature of the eastern region reflects God’s desire for the descendants of Moses and Aaron not only to exist but to thrive and prosper in their roles. Furthermore, it is essential to recognize that neither Moses nor Aaron bore any guilt or shame concerning this divine allocation. They were not tainted by accusations of self-interest or favouritism; rather, this blessing was conferred upon them through God’s sovereign will, a gift that transcends any human notions of personal ambition or envy.

This situation underscores a significant truth about divine blessings: when God’s grace is bestowed upon anyone, it comes without shame, guilt, or the need for justification. This illustrates the nature of God’s providence, where His plans and purposes unfold according to His wisdom, allowing those chosen to embrace their roles with dignity and honour.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, when You designated the area in front of the Tabernacle in the east, towards the sunrise, for Moses and Aaron, there was no pushback from the rest of Israel, and no one accused them of being self-serving. May every divine allocation bring peace and add no sorrow. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
