Numbers 3:14 NLT
“The Lord spoke again to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai. He said,”

The Lord spoke again
The Lord was never weary of engaging in conversation with Moses, reflecting the unique bond they shared. This profound dialogue could only flourish because Moses treated his relationship with the King of Glory with the utmost reverence and seriousness. It’s significant to observe that there is no indication of Moses performing extravagant rituals or any form of spiritual gymnastics before the Lord chose to speak to him again. Instead, there was an inherent quality in Moses—perhaps a combination of humility, unwavering faith, and obedience—that endeared him to God. Up to this pivotal moment, Moses had consistently avoided allowing his personal preferences and desires to overshadow God’s divine will.

This intimacy in their communication underscores a vital truth: while God’s line of communication is universally accessible to all believers, it is the individuals who genuinely surrender their own preferences and ambitions to align with His will who possess the true capacity to discern and understand His voice when He speaks. Only through such a heartfelt surrender can one grasp the depth of divine guidance and direction offered through faith. Friends, have you surrendered your life to the Only Wise God?

Prayer
Heavenly Father, I humbly ask for Your guidance in deepening my relationship with You. Please help me to approach our connection with sincerity and devotion. Whenever You wish to communicate with me, grant me the patience and willingness to truly listen, so that I may understand Your words and apply them in my life. May my heart remain open and my spirit receptive to Your messages, so that I may grow closer to You each day. In Jesus’s name, I pray, Amen.
